GABRIEL DELANNE

Engineer. B. March 23, 1857, d., February 15, 1926, Paris. Graduae, Ecole Centrale d'Ingénieurs. Editor, Revue Scientifique et Morale du Spiritisme; founder and president, Société d'Etudes des Phénomènes Psychiques; member, Institut Métapsychique International; president, Union Spirite.

Mr. Delanne, considered one of France's leading spiritualists, was particulary interested in mediumship and studied spiritualists mediums during the period 1900-1920. His books include Le Spritisme devant la Science (Spiritualism and Science; 1885); Le Phénomène spirite (The Spiritualist Phenomenon; 1896); L'Evolution animique (Anamisitic Evolution; 1897); Recherches sur la médiumniteé (Research on Mediumship; 1898); L'Ame est immortelle (The Spirit Is Immortal; 1899); Less Apparitions Matérialisées des Vivants et des Morts (Materialized Apparitions of the Living and the Dead; Vol. 1, 1900; Vol. 2, 1911); Documents pour servir à l'étude de la réincarnation (Documents for the Study of Reincarnation; 1927). He contributed many articles to the magazine that he edited, and to Revue Métapsychique, Revue Spirite and Psychica.
