Dr. Kooy is co-author (with J.W.H. Uytenbogaart) of the book Ballistics of the Future (1946). A theoretician in the field of space travel, he has contributed papers to proceedings of the international Astronautical Congresses from 1954 to the present, and has written for such publications as De Ingenieur, Astronautica Acta, and Journal of the British Interplanetary Society. In the field of parapsychology, he is particulary interested in problems of space-time and consciousness, and has carried out investigations on precognitive elements in dreams.
A frequent contributor to Tijdschrift voor Parapsychologie, Dr. Kooy is author of articles "Introspectief Onderzoek naar Het Dunne-Effect" ("Introspective Investigation of the Dunne-Effect; Vol. 6, No. 3, Mar. 1934); "Paragnosie en Kansrekening" ("Extrasensory Perception and the Calculus of Probability; Vol. 7, No. 3, Mar. 1935); "Tijd, Ruimte en Paragnoise" ("Time, Space and Extrasensory Perception"; Vol. 15, Nos. 3, 4, May-July, 194).
