AAGE SLOMANN
Retired chemical engineer; presient (1961 to present) Danish Society for Psychical Research. B. October 25, 1891, Copenhagen. Graduated as chemical engineer, 1914, Technical University of Denmark, 1914-18; in Bordeaux, France, 1919-20; in New York, 1920-31; factory superintendent Colgate-Palmolive Company, Copenhagen, 1932 until retirement in 1956; member of the company's board of directors 1947-56. Member executive committee, Danish SPR, 1950 to present; honorary librarian and research officer, 1956 to present; member, Society for Psychical Research; Swedish Society for Parapsychological Research; charter associate, Parapsychological Association.
Mr. Slomann completed a two-year survey of paranormal phenomena in Denmark in 1959; his special interest in the field include qualitative research and the philosophical aspects of parapsychology. In recent years he has lectured on parapsychology before the Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish psychical research societies, before psychology students at Stockholm and Oslo universities, and in broadcasts over Danish radio. Mr. Slomann's articles on various aspects of parapsychology have appeared in he ASPR Journal, the SPR Journal, Psykisk Forum, Psykisk Information, and other Danish publications.
