RHEA WHITE

Research fellow, Parapsychology Laboratory, Duke University, 1954-58; research assistant, Foundation for Integral Research, 1959; research and editorial associate, American Society for Psychical Research, 1959-62; research fellow, Menninger Foundation, 1963. Charter member, secretary (1958,1962), council member (1958, 1960-63), Parapsychological Assn., member, Society for Psychical Research, London; member, research committee, publications committee, chairman, library committee, ASPR.

Miss White's chief interests [were] telepathy, clairvoyance, and precognition. Her investigations have included teacher-pupil attitudes as related to clairvoyance test results; methods of concentration and various forms of attention and their relationship to ESP success or failure; claims of telepathy in animals; ESP and creativity; and subliminal perception.

Her articles in the Journal of Parapsychology have included, with R. L. Van de Castle (q.v.), "A Report on a Sentence Completion Form of Sheep-Goat Attitude Scale" (Vol. 19, No. 3, 1955); with Margaret Anderson (q.v.) "Teacher-Pupil Attitudes adn Clairvoyance Test Results" (Vol. 20, No. 3, 1956); and "A Further Investigation of Teacher-Pupil Attitudes and Clairvoyance Test Results (Vol. 21, No. 2, 1957); "ESP Score Level in Relation to Students' Attitudes Toward Teacher-Agents Acting Simultaneously" (Vol. 22, No. 1, 1958); "The Relationship Between Changes in Student Attitude with ESP Scoring" (Vol. 22, No. 3, 1958); "A Survey of Work on ESP adn Teacher-Pupil Attitudes" (Vol. 22, No. 4, 1958).

Miss White also contributed the article "Depth Perspectives adn Experimental Parapsychology" to the International Journal of Parapsychology (Vol. II, No. 2, 1960). Her articles in the ASPR Journal include, with Jean Angstadt (q.v.), "A Résumé of Research at the A.S.P.R. into Teacher-Pupil Attitudes and Clairvoyance Test Results, 1959-1960" (Vol. 55, No. 4, 1961) and "Student Preferences in a Two Classroom GESP Experiment with Two Student Agents Acting Simultaneously" (Vol. 57, No. 1, 1963); with Laura A.
